hoxtonchick · 12/02/2004 20:34
we've got lovely osh-kosh ones, which i particularly like as my brother got them very cheap! in peru though, so not much practical help...
carla · 12/02/2004 20:41
Are there no, no no Mums in Oxon? Sorry to trash your thread, but I've got loads of stuff like that..
SenoraPostrophe · 12/02/2004 20:43
plushpants.com do really nice bright ones for babies who wear terry nappies (so really roomy). But would also recommend Osh Kosh ones. love 'em
Hulababy · 12/02/2004 21:01
Popsy - do you have an S R Gent's outlet near you? We have one here and you can get Osh Kosh clothes very cheap.
My parents have brought DD a few from America too as much cheaper there. Word of warning though, whilst the little sizes we found really good the toddler ones we found problems with the press studs staying closed between the legs.
HiddenSpirit · 12/02/2004 21:17
popsycal, if I'm remembering correctly you did ask for recommendations for dungarees for your DS, but it wasn't on here
Ailsa · 12/02/2004 21:27
I'm sure I've got a pair of bright red dungarees in the attic, I'll have a look later. If they are there, they're yours, I think they are 18-24mths but will check.
Posey · 12/02/2004 21:33
Vertbaudet do some good bright coloured stuff. We got some red dungarees out of their last catalogue. They have a website vertbaudet.co.uk
Festivefly · 12/02/2004 21:45

I've got some fab denim dungies for my kids out of Woolworths (Ladybird). Especially nice ones with Tigger on the pocket that ds loves at the moment.
Agree oshkosh are nice and fab quality but expensive - we bought ours on holiday in Canada where we found them at half the price.
Mackays are also good for them if you have a shop near you. I tend not to shop in the Gap if I can help it but we have some excellent bright red cord dungies we got as a present for dd1 4 years ago and they have been on two of my kids and both my nephews and are still going strong waiting to go on dd2 when she's big enough.
I think any decent kids clothes shop should do them. They are the best clothes for kids (especially my just 2yo ds - he cant undo them therefore cant strip, take his nappy off then put on his wellies, let himself out the back door and run round the garden starkers in the pouring rain - I kid you not. Give you a laugh if nothing else.

I'd say if you did want designer name dungarees, popsy, then you gotta hit ebay
Davros · 13/02/2004 09:05
I know OshKosh are the "classic" dunagarees and its what they're known for but I think GAP ones are pretty good and classic. I also like Vertbaudet in general but maybe you'd have to order big. Very nice customer service, good price range and original. BTW, I think bright dungarees are foul
Demented · 13/02/2004 13:25
popsycal, try eBay for secondhand Osh Kosh, we have had some lovely dungarees from there.
lydialemon · 13/02/2004 14:58
I used to love DSs in dungarees, then we hit potty training and discovered they aren't the most practical things to wear - they don't come off very fast, after a few accidents they were banned!
