Do children (around one year) like these, or are they a waste of money ?

\link{http://www.fuzzy-duck.co.uk/shop/item.asp?itemid=221&catid=44\here} - endless hours of fun and giggles or 30 second wonders which will be chucked at precisely seven times ?

TIA.

See hub - gotta be a pushchair! Grin

(And a BOB the Builder workbench or summit too.)

hub2dee · 08/06/2006 21:59

I can't keep up with all these suggestions, LOL.

OK, I get the message re: pushchair, but I will resist very fiercely I think. Mean ole dadda. Grin

That John Lewis walker with blocks looks v. lovely indeed, T. Oh, and one of those dolphins is winking ! Sweeeeeeeeeet.

What's the difference between a Dora ball and a normal ball misdee ?

I might find a mini-slide challenges my swish and elegant jungly-style garden. Sad Oh well, I suppose it's inevitable !

cazzybabs - what 'one' do you speak of ? The walker ?

If I get the pushchair, T, rest assured it will be as cheap as is humanly possible. (Though that speed-limited Ikea feature tempts the Top Gear fan in me).

Nice horse. We've got a proper great big old rocking horse which I had as a kid in my folks' house. They are mega expensive these days, but I'm not sure we've got the room for it. My kid bro tried to stop the horse's ears by standing infront of the moving steed and had his upper lip rearranged. Ouch.

its got dora the explorer so dd3 likes it (its very colourful). as long as its a small ball and not a massive football then you'll be fine Grin

hub2dee · 08/06/2006 22:10

Bought an ELC sand / ball pit thingy, so she already has 100 balls (tennis-ball size). She sits in the pit and kicks her little leggies making noise !

No the puppet thing you fist suggested! Infact only this morning was is dig out of the toy cupbaord and dd1 played with it with dd2 in fits of giggles, however it does only get a couple of minutes play at a time but it has had lots of goes in its lifetime!

hunkermunker · 10/06/2006 12:45

Has to be a buggy, Hub, honestly. DS2 loves his ELC one (get her the blue one - tis more manly Wink Grin).

hub2dee · 10/06/2006 13:24

\link{http://elc.co.uk/toy-34151\This thing} ?

It says 3 - 6 years ! I might wait a while, hunker... she can't crawl yet !!!

They used them before they're 3 Smile.

DS started liking pushchairs when he was about 15 months or so. I think.

Hunker, is your DS2 very advanced Grin?

PiccadillyCircus · 10/06/2006 13:41

Or even they use them before they are 3 Blush.

hunkermunker · 10/06/2006 13:43

Oh, long before they're three, Hub. Maybe a better Christmas pressie for Camille then.

Of course he is, PC...but yes, I did mean DS1 Blush Grin

PiccadillyCircus · 10/06/2006 14:15

I knew that really - just being a bit silly - must be the hot weather Smile.

Bozza · 10/06/2006 22:04

Hub DD has that one in pink and she has just turned 2 but was honestly using it last summer. And her cousin who is 18 months also loves it and has done for a while.

hub2dee · 10/06/2006 22:11

Can't I just buy a pretend plastic laptop (like wot you see in Ikea) and she can drag it around on a string ?

OP posts:
PiccadillyCircus · 10/06/2006 22:12

No Smile.

hub2dee · 10/06/2006 22:17

Pants.

Don't come running to me then with all your moans re: gender stereotyping and young girls....

Hub....

PUSHCHAIR!!!!

(I would have said this even if Camille was actually a Cameron!)

We have 2 of the el-cheapo fold-down buggies and they are one of the most used toys we have. Dd1 had one from about her 2nd birthday cos she loved using friends' so much ; dd2 had to have one as soon as she could walk cos they fought so bitterly over the one we had.

Just Do It and stop Procrastinating. Grin

PiccadillyCircus · 10/06/2006 22:30

You could get her a \link{http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-34606\garage} (although I think the original is better ie \link{http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vintage-Fisher-Price-Little-People-Garage-70s_W0QQitemZ6063543827QQcategoryZ374QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem\this one} (DS has one like that and has liked it for a long time - he's now 2.5).

\link{http://www.elc.co.uk/toy-34123\This is fun too}

PiccadillyCircus · 10/06/2006 22:31
hub2dee · 10/06/2006 22:38
