Does any one have any experience of or recommendations for tattoo coverup please?

I've got a very formal event to attend and I've got a dress I'm happy with but I think there's a chance of my ill-considered-teenage-tattoo peeking out the shoulder. I wouldn't normally be all that concerned but it's with DH's work and I just don't want it to be noticed.

I've looked on the Internet but they're all pretty expensive and I'd be very grateful for your wisdom. Thanks :-)

Dermablend its excellent-it's costly but it works and will last you a fair while (unless the area to be covered is massive!)

Thank you, that's great. Would you recommend the liquid foundation or the concealer and is the powder necessary? Thanks again :-)

For a tattoo specifically I'd use the concealer as it will provide buildable coverage, whereas a foundation would be more suited to uneven skin tone. A powder is useful to'set'the make up, but if you don't get warm it may not be necessary.
AS with most things in life now, if you search youtube there will almost certainly be a 'using derma blend to cover tattoo' tutorial Wink

Lol, thank you, of course you're right, I'll do just that Grin. You've been fantastic!

I've bought a starter set on eBay, comes with a free powder sample & the concealer in 6 colours. I'm thinking my (fake) lightly tanned self now and my normally pasty self will use different colours from the set & I can buy full-size items later. I have high hopes, thanks again :-)

Brilliant Grin have a trial go, to see how your application technique looks in different lights-particularly try to find a good approximation of where your event is bring held. Have a lovely time!

Thank you, I hope I'm up to the challenge Smile. I'll definitely have a look on YouTube as well.
