nappies that change colour when wet

my sister seems to think that there is a nappy available that changes colour when it's wet.

I think that DS is waking up with a dry nappy but the nappies are so absorbant now that I'm not sure if it is or not and I don't want to put him to bed without one too soon.

Anyone know please?

There was a pull up pant (Huggies I think) with a Disney logo on the front that changed colour when it was weed in. My ds1 had some when he was potty training (about 4 years ago now) so I don't know for sure if they still do them.

we've got pull-ups that have a design that fades when wet - can't remember whether they're pampers or huggies.

thank you very much marthamoo and SB34.

ps. What on earth did mums do in the old days when they didn't have Mums Net?

It isn't the Pampers Easy Ups I know that so is probably Huggies that do it.

Could you line the nappy with a bit of cloth (chopped off a muslin)?

Can I tell you how sad I am? I used to keep a pair of kitchen scales outside the door to my son's bedroom, and used to weigh his nappy in the morning to check that he hadn't wee'd!

there is an easy way to weigh a nappy to check, no scales either.

Get a new nappy and hold in one hand and get the other nappy put in the other. You should be able to tell immediately.

I usually put dd to bed with a dry clean nappy and in the morning it is full, no guessing there as it bulges out and difference is noticed easily. Thank goodness for that, I might be in your same position.

If it is only a little wee (when a child is starting to become dry at night) then you can't always tell if the nappy is heavier - and it won't bulge either.
