Arg. Can't find my Maxi Cosi cite instruction booklet...can anyone help by telling me what to do now ds's feet are reaching the end of the seat (it's in the back seat and rear facing). This probably a mega stupid question but can it become a forward facing seat and if so how? Also is it safe to put in the front seat at all? I have a feeling not but it says it lasts up to nine months somewhere and I can't see that happening unless there's some way of changing the current set up. DS is now 14 weeks and we have just taken out the head hugger.

Maxi cosi citi is a stage 0 car seat, ONLY suitable for rear facing. Most manufacturers don't recommend putting rear facing seats in the front seat of a car, especially ones with a front passenger airbag.

You will need to buy the next stage up (prob the Maxi Cosi Priory or similar) if your son is too big for the citi.

Have just seen that your DS is 14 weeks, it's probably too early to buy the next stage seat from 9 months+. I would think that if your son is genuinely too long for the citi then you may have to upgrade to a birth- 4 years seat like the Britax First Class. They are around £120 and can be used both rearward and forward facing. The seat also reclines to make it more comfortable for a young 'un like your DS.
