Kids Mid-sleeper beds

Hi, Im looking for a mid-sleeper bed for my dd,with a tent if possible. It needs to be a shorty size of 2 ft 5 as dd's room is tiny box room of 6 x 6. I have looked in Argos and Additions Direct and have found one but the tent only comes in primary colours and i would like one that is a bit more girly. Does anyone know where i could get one from i don't know who else to try. I haven't searched ebay yet but will do that. If anyone can help i would be most grateful i have just got dd to finally sleep in her own room at night, she is almost five and i would like to make it special for her.

Google Flexa beds, they do really girly covers. :) We have flexa beds for all our 3 children, the quality is fantastic and they're so versatile. Not cheap but worth it imho.

We have \link{http://www.flexashop.com/\Flexa} too. dd has the whitewash finish and has the pink and purple book holder on the side , which would probably fit most slatted side bunks. Similarly tents, drapes etc.

Definitely Flexa. A worthwhile investment, in our opinion. We're about to get a second one for dd's graduation from a cot. I don't think they do a small one, though. But why wastse money on a small bed, when you'd have to buy a larger one eventually? Also, you don't have to buy a tent - I tied a shocking pink, gold-embroidered sarong onto ds's bed (his favourite colour is pink) - and he loves it!

Thanks geekgrrl, i will try that. Any other suggestions most welcome as well.

Ikea do some good styles. We have a Lo \link{http://www.ikea.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?topcategoryId=15567&catalogId=10103&storeId=7&productId=16268&langId=-20&parentCats=155671618016184\here} it can go at 3 differnt heights which is good. They have bed canopies too but I haven't seen one to go with the Lo bed

Thanks everybody else as well, We have a single bed in the room at the moment but this leaves little room for dd's toys. The bigger single mid-high beds are too long as the previous owners of our home built a small wardrobe in the room and this takes away from the space. When dd is old enough we will go for a high bunk if we can fit it in but we need something for now. I know i don't need the tent part, but as the room is so small i want to try and make it as clutter free and tidy as possible. Thanks for the idea prettycandles about the sarong if i can't find what i'm looking for i will seriously consider it

Thuka, cheaper than Flexa but same quality. They do a shorty midsleeper

BettySpaghetti · 08/05/2006 22:12

Just make some curtains for the bed in whatever material your DD likes. I've just done this for DD.

We bought a mid-sleeper cabin bed that didn't have curtains so I bought a pair of ready-made curtains that I just had to cut in half, hem and thread onto those stretchy wires that people use for nets (and I'm no seamstress!).

Thanks everyone, i have decided to buy the midsleeper without tent and make my own with curtains. I would never have thought about doing that so thanks for the ideas.
