Wondering about a new pushchair

Hiya,
I'm thinking about getting a new pushchair. Has anyone any thoughts on this new research which says it's better for your child to face you and hence get more language practice? And can anyone recommend a back-facing pushchair? Thanks guys! x

i always had ds rear facing and really liked it. i liked being able to see him, and he could see what was going on around him AND see me. yes, it did mean that I chatted to him more, although that wasn't necessarily the main reason i liked it!
i could give him stuff to eat and make sure he wasn't choking or just getting it all over himself, could easily wipe up sick, drinks etc etc
he went to sleep better as he wasn't wtching everyone else! lol

DS2 language skills are far more advanced than his bro and he has been in a rear facing pushchair. DS1 had front facing and didn't speak til he was 2.

Not scientific proof, but the rear facing might have hepled!

Best to get a pushchair which can go both ways IMO.

what kind of thing are you after?

I have an i'coo platon which is fantastic! incredibly well made, sturdy, great suspension.

BUT.. it is VERY heavy, so not great if you need to get it in and out of the car a lot
