Twinkie1 · 03/05/2006 13:39

W got a henry with a carpet beater and it knocks thr socks off of our old dyson and wasn't as expensive either!!

Supposed to be really good if you have pets but doesn't get much work on that front from the rabbit or the hamster!!

nailpolish · 03/05/2006 13:39

that one is a bit dearer, there are cheaper miele cat and dogs too (they are a bit less powerful, but they are still better than most other hoovers)

zippitrippitoes · 03/05/2006 13:42

Henry..totally robust and efficient

crunchie · 03/05/2006 13:45

bundle · 03/05/2006 14:09

but henry good (just got one for our nursery)

shazronnie · 03/05/2006 14:19

I love my vax!

don't buy Dyson - they used to be good, but now production has moved to far east they are cr*p.

manitz · 03/05/2006 15:03

i was going to buy miele. my last was fab and was cheapest model (around 99 quid) but have loads of building dust so got henry as recommended by mil.

she says henry's are great, (i believe her now) but quite hard work over carpet so when building work is finished and brick dust is in the henry, and have some money will get cheapest miele for upstairs and save myself lugging old henry up and down.

louismummy · 03/05/2006 15:09

love our miele but had to change the filter which are dear when we had the building work done here. but they come with 2 warrenty. they will service, for free in that time and replace the fliter/bag for free. but henry's good as you don't have to use a bag, can save a fortune.

elastamum · 03/05/2006 21:16

we have a sebo from john lewis. Not very trendy but great if you have dust allergies pets etc. It was reccomended over the dyson

Filyjonk · 03/05/2006 21:18

On the basis of recommendations on another thread, I got a Miele Cat and Dog and my cleaner tells me it is fantastic (Blush somehow since being pg/having dd I seem to have developed an inability to do any housework so I haven't tried it yet).
