Hello all

I am a mumsnet virgin Blushafter searching the web the which recommended car seat the britax with the iso fix base seems the best to go with for infants - but I have no idea which pushchair it will connect to - all websites are very vague saying it will go with 'most' britax pushchairs and the same if from Britax - do any of you know which pushchair it fits with - I am in Ireland so I am ordering from the UK via internet as yet not found here - and exchange rate always bad!!

Thanking you in advance

Becs

you may be best calling britax customer services and asking them..I am not sure if an isofix will fit a pram..? Never used a britax car seat until dd was 9mths and needed a forward facing one..hth.

I'd also check that the isofix is suitable for your car.

I have a Britax Rock a Tot and I found the Britax website quite informative. But it sometimes helps to search on ebay and see if anyone is selling a Britax travel system and see which pushchair and which seat are displayed together.

IME car seats which fit on pushchairs are overrated - v heavy to move and never fit with the exact pushchair you want, and bearing in mind tinies shouldn't be left in carseats for long periods anyway, might be better to get a lie-flat solution and leave the car seat in the car.

McLaren Techno XT would be my suggestion for round-town use...

I think that because the isofix base is separate to the seat that it fit a travel system as per the regular Cosytot. You could check specifically with Britax as regards their own models - \link{http://www.britax.co.uk/Catalogue_2004/index.html\their site} describes it as part of the "Click and Go" system like the Excel and Delta pushchairs, but specifically quotes the Cosytot Isofix as compatible with the Trekker and Zeta. Other pushchair brands such as the Mountain Buggy may require adaptors.

I have been through this problem and the best way round it is to order the lot together. I have the Britax Zeta, which is compatible with the Isofix base. I mistakenly bought a Britax cosy tot car seat and isofix base and then tried to buy the pushchair frame, it is not adapted, though Britax can do it for a small fee.

Britax were crap at giving the correct info and i told them so, and as they advised me which base to buy, I was furious as it was the wrong one and they did nothing to help put it right. I told them I would never reccommend them again.

Tip: there is a sticker on the base and seat, a 'T' or an'S' and both must match for the carseat to fit the frame.

If you are interested, I could sell you a barely used ( probably half a dozen times) complete Britax Zeta system, in Cinnamon, very nice for girl or boy, car seat, isofix base and pushchair, all compatible! I used it for a 3 week old bay, who's mum had PND and I needed to pick the baby up and get out and about, but my own pushchair was from 3 months upwards.

If you are interested, I coculd send it, email me,
