OK, first I out myself as a disposable nappy user Blush (DS got terrible nappy rash when we tried reusables.)

He's a good sleeper, used to sleep through for a good 12 hours, but now is being woken early by leaking nappy. We've started waking him up at midnight to change him but - it there such a thing as an extra-absorbent/extra-padded night-time disposable nappy, and where can I get them? I've tried web searching but all I can find is special night-time reusables.

Or is there another solution? Ta.

How old is lo and what are you using ?

starlover · 29/04/2006 20:41

you used to be able to get them, but apparently they don't make them anymore.... similar thread a while ago!

Oh missed that Starlover, sorry (been away!).

Poppy, he's nearly 11 months and we are using Cien nappies from Lidl, which I've found to be the best so far (but get same problem with Huggies, which we have a spare pack of).

At night time I used pamperd baby dry, found my lo didn't have a problem at night.

In terries in day and disp at night. Slept for ages.

I use huggies flexi fit at night (washable in the day), never had a problem.

I've found Pampers Baby Dry good for nights. Have you tried a larger size for night time use? Some people have said they put a pull-up type nappy over the top too.

Tommy · 29/04/2006 23:27

we found pull ups better for night time - also had heavy sleeper (still is - and still in night time pants at 4.4 because of it!)

snowleopard · 30/04/2006 00:21

OK thanks all, I'll be going nappy shopping tomorrow then. Are pull-ups more absorbent then? - I thought they were just for odd little leaks? Will also try the Pampers.

pampers do a pull up for older babies that is different to the pull up toilet training pants that you are thinking off - or they used to when I was in the UK - I used them with dd1.

Seona1973 · 30/04/2006 19:38

I use the pampers easy up pants which are just ordinary nappies but they can step into them. They are not toilet training nappies. We started using them for nighttime when dd started getting leaks with the pampers baby dry ones.

Jzee · 30/04/2006 20:00

Pampers active fit are pretty good

arfy · 30/04/2006 20:02

Pampers Baby Dry very good - we've never had a leak and DD (17 months) often sleeps up to 13/14 hours

snowleopard · 01/05/2006 21:47

OK, have bought some new nappies to try, and would have started tonight but DP got him ready for bed and forgot. :)

Thanks for the tips.
