Shredders

Getting paranoid about details on credit card slips, bank statements etc... I tear them into a zillion pieces but thought I would get one of those paper shredders. I don't want some huge thing like we have at work though, and I want it to be something I can stick out of the way easily - any ideas anyone, I don't want it to cost a fortune either!

Ours was about £25 from Homebase I think, made by Fellowes, it has been good.

Got one since my grandad had to move into a nursing home and had his identity stolen; loans taken out, credit cards in his name etc. It all happened so quickly and the police don't really have the resources to deal with it. A postal redirection address was put on his (empty) house and all loans etc. taken out using his name & address. All very frightening and has made us a little paraniod too.

I got one from my local discount bookshop for 4.99, it's only small (a bit wider than A4), it's manual, you turn a handle to shred the paper. It works very well (so far, only had it for a few days) and me and dd are having great fun shredding every piece of waste paper in sight!
