hiya did you use those tummy trimming belts (not sure their proper name)? I have been thinking of a way to lose this stomach from dd1 but can't do push ups. any feedback most welcome.

i love mine when i can be arsed to use it ( slendertone) it does TONE beautifully but you also have to eat sensibly so you done end up with a six pack underneath a fray bentos steak and kidney pud!

Oooooh I reckon those sound great but have always wondered do they work? And how much do they cost?

NotAnOtter · 26/04/2006 20:09

i dont think they do but they make it firm and strong!

sorry to be bearer of bad news ninaar but not only do the muscles ahve to tighten but you also have to burn the fat.

i've been doing oodles of abdominal exercises for months and can feel they are rock hard but there's still a muffin tum on top Sad - this will only go by eating fewer calories or by doing aerobic activity. aerobic activity has extra benefit of increasing your metabolic rate so when you do eat you burn off the calories faster.

so - have started running. but you could walk fast or swim?

sorry to be an exercise bore but am trying to lose my own tum so have been finding out lots.

Pilates and/or power yoga make your tummy look fantastic. Prob best not to have too many mars bars though. If you can't be bothered, get 'magic knickers' from www.figleaves.co.uk

i agree totally tutter!

thanks all for replying
having checked this thread since wed.
i don't much, and tummy is going down, just impatient. will do aerobics when i remember and power walking, but can't do situps so was looking for easy way out Grin. i heard about pilates but haven't seen it anywhere. oh, bbb, you can find them in argos, i think they start from £29/39. i don't want a firm tummy at the moment just to lose this poach.
