3 wheel help needed

My little one is 2 and I am desperate for a 3 wheeler. I have had loads of pushchairs so far so it needs to be quite cheap so I can justify it to the other half. I live in the town and drive a small car so it needs to fold small etc. I do want to take it over rough(ish) terrain & def on the beach (although not regularly) but am a bit unsure of the pneumatic tyre thing as am concerned about punctures .. all advice welcomed (plus any decent justification that I can use to help convince my hubby that I need another pushchair!!!!)

I wouldn't be without mine as it's a doddle to push so can manage to walk two dogs too. Never had a puncture (tempting fate aren't I?) - you can buy stuff to put in tyres to prevent them I believe, but I have never bothered. Generally they don't fold up very small though which might be a problem. Do you like the style or want one for practicality?

Secondhand or new Mountain Buggy. There have been several very detailed threads just in the last few days. \link{http://www.pushchairs.co.uk\this site} has tyre tape etc. to reinforce tyres to help prevent punctures.

mountain buggy isnt cheap tho hub.

That's why I suggested second hand. And they're cheaper than building up large buggy collecitons. Wink Grin

ouch Wink

i was watching a 10year old MB on ebay out of curipousity, went for over 80pounds!

good one, if u can get hold of one is the old mothercare urban detours with spoked metal wheels.

I like the style really but am also fed up of struggling to push my pushchair through muddy fields etc. I am a bit obsessed about buying pushchairs, I have had 8 so far which my husband seems to think is more than enough in a 2 year period! maybe if I sold 2 of the 3 I have at the moment I could justify spending a bit more on a new one Smile

LOL... see, all the buggyholics end up admitting to themselves it would've been better just to buy one decent one.

The MB Terrain, z, totally rocks on muddy fields. The wheels will get somewhat clogged up but it'll keep on going if you can !

Urban Detour from Mothercare is a fab buggy. If you are going to be going over rough ground a lot I would use protection for the inner tube (can't remember what it's called, some sort of plastic stuff) to avoid punctures. They really are a dream to use, not just in the country but in the town as well.
