Can anyone help me find something like this?

It's a three tier wooden thing, designed to put pots of outdoor flowers/plants on. It's more decorative than functionial - garden centre just had horrible plasticy ones I think we originally got ours from Scots of Stow, but there's nothing like that on their website now.

Sister's birthday the day after tomorrow (nothing like leaving it too late) and she commented that she'd like one for the occasion. Please help! Don't know where to look

fuzzywuzzy · 11/04/2006 16:59

no sorry not three tiered

carla · 11/04/2006 17:00

No, and I'm not completely inept on the PC and unable to post a photo. The bits where the plants are supposed to go are triangular shaped, and decrease in size the nearer you get to the top. Wooden, and I think it was once stained a green colour, but that bit doesn't matter. Anything near it would be a Godsend.

Thank you fw and Chandra for looking. It's kind of ... rustic looking, I s'pose. Even more rustic having had it for 5 years !

H is even prepared to drive us all to get one tomorrow - if only I could blinkin' well find one!

Yes! 2happy!! It's just like the 2nd one in. Though we'd be hard pressed to get one from US in time for the 13th. But that's just the thing. Thank you.

try searching for 'étagère', which is what they're usually called in the UK.

Try \link{http://www.taylorsgardenbuildings.co.uk/store/customer/product.php?productid=17866\here}, or \link{http://www.capitalgardens.co.uk/acatalog/Wooden_Fuctional_Furniture.html\here}

fuzzywuzzy · 11/04/2006 17:17

carla · 12/04/2006 08:03

God, you lot are all Fab. Thank you so much. MrsB, how did you know they're called that? That place is in Norfolk, which is probably beyond H's call of duty, but now I at least know what to ask for when I ring round today.

Don't s'pose you know how it's pronounced? Blush

Again, thanks you you all.xx

OP posts:
Tutter · 12/04/2006 08:11

carla - it's pronounced like 'ay-ta-jair' (kind of, but make the 'j' soft, like when you say 'je' in french).
