It's dd's 2nd birthday next week. I am planning to buy her a little house for the garden.
Do you have any great suggestions for where I can get one?
P.s can do flat pack but not DIY

I love \link{http://www.fabulouskids.co.uk/catalog.asp?cat=22\these fabric wendy houses}
But they're really, really expensive!!

We have a playhouse from B&Q which is a bit like \link{http://www.diy.com/diy/jsp/bq/nav/nav.jsp?action=detail&fh_secondid=6690008&fh_reftheme=promo_50931961%2cseeall%2c%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB%2fcategories%3c%7b8530340%7d%2fcategories%3c%7b8530341%7d&fh_location=%2f%2fcatalog01%2fen_GB%2fcategories%3c%7b8530340%7d%2fcategories%3c%7b8530341%7d%2fspecificationsProductType%3e%7bplayhouses%7d&fh_eds=%c3%9f&fh_refview=lister&ts=1144259868316\this one}. Looks much better once painted.

Tiys R us do one half price that we bought for dd - will see if I can do a link to it - hang on as not vey good at this!

helsi · 05/04/2006 20:04

no I'm rubbish but if you go to their site the ref number is 717711. Country playhouse £39.99. Sturdy with shuttered windows andhalf door - green red and yellow.

heymissymum · 06/04/2006 09:45

here's the link for you \link{http://www.toysrus.co.uk/SearchResults.aspx?kw=717711&zone=Tru\Toys R Us} but it's out of stock?

I got a great wooden one, they delivered and constructed it in the price!

\link{http://www.parklandsgb.com/the_playhouse.html\here} It was about £200 I think with verandah and paid a bit more for a stable door

MrsBadger · 06/04/2006 10:17

have an aversion to the garish plastic ones myself, and garden is small so no getting away from it.

Love the b&q one suggested by cupcakes, but \link{http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/3681543/Trail/C$cip%3D28884.DIY,+garden+and+car%3EC$cip%3D28946.Sheds+and+outdoor+buildings%3EC$cip%3D28947.Playhouses.htm\this} one from Argos is cheaper and looks easier to assemble!

The gorgeous fabric ones are maginally cheaper in \link{http://www.johnlewis.com/Outdoor+Toys+and+Games/Outdoor+Toys+and+Games/Outdoor+Toys+and+Games/Playhouses/230208325/Product.aspx\John Lewis} but sure I've seen cheaper versions elsewhere. Their huge advantage is that in the winter you can either pack them away in a cupboard or put them up indoors so they don't look 'worn' as fast as ones you leave out all year, and you don't get fed up with looking at them!

cupcakes · 06/04/2006 16:08

have to say, that B&Q one was a bugger to assemble.

Pollyanna · 06/04/2006 17:18

What about a cardboard one? (not very waterproof I know, but cheap and ecofriendly) \link{http://www.ecotopia.co.uk/index.php?cName=childrens-toys-cardboard-play-things\here}
