DS wants to.

Is it homemade - i.e. flour/water/salt - in which case should be alright.

If shop bought I wouldn't - but please do and then post the results Smile.

you can make a salt dough which what is used for christmas decorations but actual playdough will smell horrid

Caligula · 03/04/2006 15:24

It's not homemade - it's normal shop bought. I'm very dubious.

Hausfrau - because DS has made a plane he wants to keep and see if it goes hard! Grin

I've signed up for a pottery course starting in May. Will have to make do with playdo till then!

Sorted then. There will be many ceramic masterpieces chez Caligula come Summer Smile.

my DD made some playdough masterpieces that we put on a tray and dried over 4 or five days on top of the boiler.
If using oven, put on low setting I would say.

Nbg · 03/04/2006 15:42

I was going to do the salt dough thing at xmas with dd but when we did a test run the stuff shrank and browned quite alot.
I ended up buying a tub of clay from ELC for a £5 which I thought was a bargain.

Caligula · 03/04/2006 15:53

Gingerbread - was yours shopbought too?

Proper playdough in the tubs. (S'all right, my name is a play on Gingerbread/Gingerbeer isn't it?)

I agree and disagree with you because I tried putting shop bought clay in the oven and it was safe ❤️
