On Timbear.co.uk (sorry for some reason I can't get a link) I might be getting the Duplay 13FT Clown Bouncy Castle (9014) £ 300.00 ..........

does that seem a good one? What should I look for? Any good/bad experiences with this company?

also, what does duplay mean?

Thank you.....I will appreciate any answers and points on what to look for! Thanks:o

I haven't hired a bouncy castle myself but a friend hired one for her daughter. I will try and find out who she hired it from.

i think duplay is just the make of it.

Make sure you use the ground anchors, I was involved in an incident where high winds blew over a bouncy jousting thing, two boys were sent flying 20ft and rattled off a fence, what made it worse was that it was on concrete. Both were attended to by paramedics on site and one had a suspected neck injury. The bouncy thing even had a heavy centre section that you stand on but it still went over.

They are fine if tied down but thought it best to warn you.

thank you for that skribble.......actually I don't even want one (cos of it being no different to dangerous trampolines!) but dp keeps on so I'll show ur message to him

thanks:)

It does seem a lot for a garden toy. I would rather buy a wooden structure or a playhouse, more opporunities for varied play.

just bought one from costco. has lots of sturdy ground anchors and some messing at the front with a little gap to help stop children falling off the front. we put it up on windy saturday the kids loved it. went up in about a minute about twenty to deflate. much happier with it than trampoline can take 6 children - worried about how bouncy a trampoline and the issue of multiple kids getting on to it.

With regards to trampolines or A&E department has special forms that the Triage nurses fill out for every trampoline injury so it must be a problem.

Again I can't emphasise enough how important it is to anchor it down, make sure anyone else in the family who is likely to put it up (ie DH), knows the importance of this. Can easily be missed when the kids are desperate to get on it and your in a rush. Even when it is not windy the weather can change so quickly.

Sorry meant our A&E
