Has anyone tried this? Is it any good for a non Gina baby?

Or any other decent weaning books around but not Annabel Karmel, I have hers already.

I used it becca - do you want to borrow mine
ds was a non-Gina baby but I found the way that she suggests slowly introducing one thing at a time very useful........I am just round the corner from you remember.
I am away for afew days but email me though mumsnet and i can post it to you.....

btw she has daily plan of how to do it and suggested 'recipes' (if you can call mashed parsnip a recipe'
I liked the way it gave guidance and structured it for me
Of course, you have to make it flexible for you and your ds....as ds got bigger, the portions she suggested were too small
Useful to get you started if you don't want to use jars of baby food

i also found annabel karmel's book very useful as ds got a little bit older and wasnt just eating veggie mush!

Beccarollover · 02/01/2004 18:38

I used the GF one and found it useful at the beginning as I didn't have a clue. Sort of did it myself after a couple of weeks.

I found that Lorraine Kelly's Baby and Toddler book was good as well, really easy to make.

If you're interested in detailed nutritional info plus good advice (I think) on allergies Suzanne Olivier "What should I feed my baby?" is excellent. Some of the recipes are a bit way out and hippyish - but I combined this book with Karmel (who seems to put everything with cheese sauce at one stage!) for a happy medium.
