Double buggy - Nipper

Hi! After much research I've just bought a double buggy for my son and youngest daughter (18mths and 3mths) and chose the Nipper cos it met all my needs - lightweight, comfy for kiddies, easy to push, reclines for baby, enough leg room for my son, la-de-dar-de-dar. I spend the afternoon putting it together and have now tried to get it out the front door and it won't go!Shock Has anybody else had this trouble? Not sure whether to package it all up and send it back. Does anybody know of a similar buggy with the same qualities but is a bit narrower? I've already got a maclaren double buggy but found this best for shopping and not the pre-school run! Please help! Am in a bit of a dilemma! Blush

in line buggy?
others=wise you'll have to trawl thru all the websites and look at widths of buggies
however, i think the nipper is pretty narrow...it wouldn't fit thru our door so we have a powertwin just now
hth and sorry! Sad

Hi oops! Thanks for your reply
The other model I was interested in and tried in the shop was the powertwin but although I was really impressed with its handling it seemed quite heavy lifting it up to go up kerbs - do you find this?

yes it is heavy, but not too bad...
the nipper we tried tipped over when ds2 was in it and ds1 touched the handles.
the powertiwn seems a bit creaky too, but in general i love it
i am selling a phil and ted !!! fancy this?

Go phil and teds. My 3mth is in the bottom seat ok, I use one of those semicircular pillows so his head doesn't tip to one side.

I've never thought the jane was heavy to lift up kerbs ever! I've been using mine for a year, only just bought a side by side now as the dts don't like sitting in a tandem very much now. Personally I'd much rather have the jane over the philnteds, as I really wouldn't want my baby that close the the ground and unnable to see out. Phil and teds do a nice twin though, don't know how narrow that is?

Thanx oops! Did think about P&T but was unsure of lower seat for baby - they look really cool tho, and seem really practical! I did manage to get the nipper out the front door and back in this morning (nipper 77cm wide, door 81cm wide) so it is possible, just have to approach it from right angle.

I think the powertwin pushchairs are great, might just have to trade nipper in....maybe in a few months time....my hubby will go ape! He thinks I have an unhealthy pushchair obsession anyway - in fact I think I do!
