i'm expecting no.2 in May, ds will be 22 months. i like the idea of the seat 2 go but don't know if it works with a Pliko if the seat of the pushchair is flat. has anyone used one? any ideas?

yes . used to have both

although didn't put seat flat when using it .. you don't need to put a 2 year old's seat flat though

IME it does work with the pliko when the seat is flat but only as the step part not the seat, as it is tucked too far underneath so I found I couldn't start using it until I got ds out of the car seat that connects to the pushchair, and couldn't lay him falt in the pushchair to slepp if dd was on the seat to go and wanted to sit.

the flat seat is for the baby, is there much space between seat and pushchair?

doh! .. sorry wasnt' thinking ..you mean the baby in the pliko of course .. Blush

honestly I'd stick the baby in a sling for the first few months and keep your toddler in her seat .. then work the buggy board in later when it doesn't really need to go flat

thanks CHICagoMUM, I wondered if that would be aproblem. anyone know what age they can cope with justa step/ board?

I'd second twigs suggestion of baby in sling and toddler in pushchair, then baby upright in pushchair and toddler on seat-to-go. I used to find that even with the handles at their most extended I usde to bash my shins on the bottom step of the seat-to-go occasionally (v.v. painful). Also, unlike some buggy boards you can't flip the s2g out of the way when not using it so I used to disconnect it and hook it over the handle bars.

sounds like a sling might be the way to start, I can't quite bring myself to buy a double buggy as they are expensive and they all seem to have not so good things about them

I got mine when ds was born and dd was 3, we used the seat part a lot, but we lived in the centre of chicago with no car and walked 4+ miles a day (to nursey/shops etc).
