I'm looking for a rearward-facing pushchair for my soon-to-be 6 month old. I'm considering the Loola, but have some doubts re durability since we do a lot of walking. Any comments? Or other recommendations?
Thanks.

i had one and only used it once!considering its a buggy type,it was soooo heavy.i have a bad back and ended up on pethadine after going out with it just the once!i got the red as i thought they looked good.the fabric,in my opinion, looks cheap!i really didnt like it,and sold it on ebay!

ive now got an icoo platon 3 wheeler.its heavy, but its sturdy and faces both ways.i love it!its boucy aswell (unlike loola, which is quite stiff IYKWIM!!)

Nope, another disappointing product that seemed to be the answer to many parents buggy needs.

We initially sold loads of them, they were compact (though not that lightweight) had the forward/rearward facing seat that everyone likes and could be used with a proper carrycot and car seat.

They came back in droves. The chassis just fell to bits and the hoods let in the rain. We were sending them back for repair at the rate of 2-3 a week.

I now steer customers away from them if I can.

If its a walking pram you're after, something with big wheels would be much easier to push.

i got mine from an ebay shop.they cost £499 when mothercare had them,i paid £199 with all the accessories from the ebay shop.just put in 'icoo platon' on the search thingy,i cant remeber the name of the shop!!

I have one and it is rubbish. It is too wide to fit through most spaces in shops, impossible to get up a kerb, heavy and rattly. The rain cover doesn't keep the rain out and it is difficult to put up and down. The car seat is hard to fit in the car and won't fit in a shopping trolley. Oh and it is impossible to get anything into the shopping basket due to the ridiculous design of the chassis.

Get a maclaren, they are the only buggy that is any good.

mumatuks · 20/03/2006 17:54

wow, I really love mine! Oh well ech to her own I suppose. The baby pram thing is such a minfield!
Good luck in your quest!

lucykate · 20/03/2006 17:55

i have a loola for ds and don't mind it too much, but i have to agree with what trice says about getting it through shop doors and kerbs, it is a pain. the best part of it has been the arctic footmuff which has been brill over the winter. its not worth the price its sold at and if you take it anywhere other than on the flat, its useless.

mumatuks · 20/03/2006 17:59

hmm it did help that i brought mine brand new for £75! Good old ebay! The lady had a pram shop and brought ex demo models in to sell. However I'm sure this had never been used!

I wouldn't have paid the full price for it...

buffythenappyslayer · 20/03/2006 18:15

i paid £225 for mine, used it the once and sold it on ebay for £75.was gutted!id listed it 3 times before it got sold,i had to keep lowering the price.
