We've just moved house and as it'll take dh ages to connect the dryer up through the wall and seeing as it can't go near a window, i've brought a condenser box from argos

does anyone else have one of these???

just want to know if they have tried it with out putting the ice trays in?

a box that u put your pipe into

u put special ice cube trays inthe bottom that condense the hot air and turn it in to water

Fairydust, I think you'll steam up your kitchen as the ice cools the hot air from the dryer. You can get elephant trunk extension pipes from Comet that go out of the window, but you end up with a freezing cold kitchen in this weather.
I'm thinking of getting a condenser box - how big are the ice trays? Not sure if I've got enough room in the freezer for them.

The one I have is absolutely useless. The ice sits in the bottom and the venting holes are in the top....hot air rises so the steam rises out the vent holes without ever making contact with the ice! I then blocked off some of the vent holes but then the clothes wouldn't dry because the steamy air was backing up into the tumble drier! So I reverted to putting the hose out the window and use a very large old towel to block off the rest of the window to try to minimise the freezing kitchen.
