have briefly seen this trike in toys r us before christmas, but they have stopped stocking it. several websites sell these, but would like to have a good look at one first. it is a really good trike, as it is freewheel, ie the pedals only go round when child is actually pedalling, and you can lock the front wheel, so if they aren't yet steering right you can push them with the parent handle.

I'm looking at trikes/ride ons but new to all this. The features you mention sound good. Found \link{http://www.jacksons-camping.co.uk/kidstuff/trikes.htm\this site} if that is of help. What age is it for? I'm looking for a first birthday pressie and have only really seen similar products for this age in Blooming Marvellous and Mothercare, others seem to be 18m+

sorry, I've just re-read and you already know of websites which sell it d'oh!

I've got one that sounds exactly like this but it's a Triang one. John Lewis stock them I think. It was about £50 new.

If you're in SE London and are after a secondhand one it's sitting in the garage waiting for a new owner - £20???

shameless hijack - sorry!!!

We have teh Kettler Tricky (even more gorgeous imo than the happy one, is fab, still freewheels and also has pneumatic tyres)

The shop is in Surrey though we ordered on the phone

CountessDracula · 14/03/2006 15:24

oh yes you can lock the wheel too

CountessDracula · 14/03/2006 15:25

Where do you live?

CountessDracula · 14/03/2006 15:27

sorry is teh Tricky Air we have

My ds has the Kettler happy air, and we think its brilliant, the air tyres are worth the extra money if you plan to go off road, and ds could pedal it quite easily at 2 and a half yrs. You can lengthen the size as the child grows too. Try looking at \link{http://www.kettler.co.uk\stockists}
