Primark pyjamas for newborns?

IWanders · 05/08/2012 19:52

Hopefully someone can help, I am looking for some pyjamas for my newborn, I love the Primark fleece pyjamas and have bought them in the past but I don't know if they come in newborn sizes I have bought them from age 2.

I have arthritis and reynauds and hate, hate, hate poppered sleepsuits and onezies as I can't do the poppers.

Asking as our local Primark is an hour away and don't want to drive there and come home empty handed. So would be very grateful if anyone knows what size they start at. Thanks again. :)

I'm sure I'll be corrected if wrong but I don't think you can really get pjs for newborns. What about baby bundlers/nightgowns? No poppers and great for nighttime nappy changes. Natural baby shower, John lewis and mothercare all do them.

usualsuspect · 05/08/2012 19:57

H & M sell tiny PJs.

RandomMess · 05/08/2012 19:57

Baby nighties are the way to go, million times easier!

Tangointhenight · 05/08/2012 19:58

I'm nearly sure asia do baby pjs for newborn, tescos too.

nightgowns

Mothercare have pjs too

IWanders · 05/08/2012 20:07

I was thinking if I couldn't get pjs I would buy long sleeved t-shirts and jogging style bottoms, but as baby is due October/November I was holding out some hope that the fleece pjs came in tiny sizes as they are lovely and warm and baby could stay in them all the time. Thanks for suggesting Tesco and Asda I will have a look online and I will wander into Hennes the next time I'm in a town.

I am finding things tricky to find and put up with the pain and lack of ability with other dc but my hands are useless in the winter so the easier I make things the better. Especially as I will have four dc under 5. :)

can confirm that asda to zip up sleep suits

LegoAcupuncture · 05/08/2012 20:09

I had ds3 in November and I bought some lovely fleece onesies in Mothercare and John Lewis. Not sure that Primark ones would be as gentle or breatheable on a newborns skin tbh.

MrsRhettButler · 05/08/2012 20:12

Tkmax usually have zip up onesies

tiredteddy · 05/08/2012 20:14

I've seen some fleece pyjamas/ all in one style with zip front in next from newborn size. Is that what you are looking for? One was navy with tiny yellow stars, very sweet!

Tangointhenight · 05/08/2012 20:14

Primarks ones are very soft, probably made from the same stuff John Lewis makes theirs from, I always just give them a wash in nonbio first.

GnocchiNineDoors · 05/08/2012 20:14

Primark do teensy leggings and tshirts which usually.come in a two pack (2 tops one plain one printed) and same for matching bottoms.

They arent officially pjs but a newborn wouldnt care. we had a couple of these sets for dd and loved them.

memphis83 · 05/08/2012 20:16

Tesco do jersey newborn pj's in packs of 2 near the vests usually, really nice and soft.

IWanders · 05/08/2012 20:23

Thanks for all the help, like the look of the bundler and the zipped suits, zipped would be good. I want to start buying soon so I know I have them. Will make a trip into town after looking online.

Thanks for all the ideas, as poppers are a nightmare and fiddly.

Oh and asda do newborn PJs with the feet in them, DD always had freezing feet and I hate having old feet in bed so can't imagine a newborn would like it :)

SilkieChicken · 05/08/2012 22:50

Mothercare do tiny pyjamas in two packs... you can quite often get them reduced.

LilyCocoplatt · 06/08/2012 15:17

We had the fleecy sleepsuits from primark for DD when she was a newborn, had tried babygro and sleeping bag but she really hated the sleeping bag and wouldnt sleep in it so changed her to fleece suit and thin blanket and she slept much better.

Twonker · 07/09/2012 22:03

I would go for the nightgown or zipped sleep suits. I would worry that elastic round a newborn's middle would irritate.
Good luck!
