Don't need til August, but you know how your mind wanders...I'm leaning towards washable but are they any good?

Fine-just like a regular pair of swimmers.
My ds's are drying as I speak.
Will also cost you less and the ncan be passed on to someone else.

Yes that's what I liked about them Moondog, thanks :)

Good on holidy as well. You can take them off when the come out of the water and put them back on when they want to go in and not be too cold.

m & s do them - they look just like normal trunks but have in-built swim nappy. We've always used them. I tried those ones with velcro & string tie and they were useless, kept slipping down, velcro irritated ds's tummy etc etc. i recommend m & s for style & price & never had a prob w. them.

Washable ones are great and are what we mostly used but disposables are good for holidays should they have a poo in them. We tended to use a mixture!

Agree that the velcroor tie ones seem way too loose and wouldn't contain anything IMO. SOme people swear by them though. We had the swimming trunk pull-on version.

(BTW DSs swimming lessons insisted on a disposable covered by a reusable because it cost them about £1000 to have the pool drained, cleande and refilled and to cover the lessons they'd have tocancel whilst this was done!)

I'm glad you put that, as I have only seen the velcro/tie reusables, the pull on ones sound much better

We use the pull on washable ones. You can get them from Mothercare & also Mamanjojobebe. And would second SoupDragon - ots worth taking a pack of Huggies swim nappies with you as well
