Kamillosan Nappy Cream

SleeplessInMolesey · 23/07/2012 12:00

My 21 month old appears to react to all other nappy creams apart from Kamillosan. Certainly if he gets a rash, all other creams I have tried do not help the problem and, if anything, make it worse.
To my dismay, I have just been informed that the product has been discontinued.
Does anyone know either (a) where I might still get some? (all on-line pharmacies are out of stock) or (b) of any other similar products that I may not have heard of? I think the large content of camomile is the key, but I could be wrong.
Hoping someone out there can help...

Thanks for trying, but that was my first stop and the seller e-mails you to try and substitute another product...

ask your doctor for a prescription.

then it won't cost you anything.

Is this it? On Boots website?

If it is I will buy up a few tubes as I found it the best nappy cream for DD in the end, and loved it- am pg again and will be devastated not to be able to get hold of it!

Actually, if you can't get hold of it, try this which I used to do for DD- make up a cup of camomile tea, add a spoonful of honey, and cool down (obviously!). Use instead of water to wipe with a nappy changes ( I used cloth nappies so I used as a reusable wipes solution, but you could use with cotton wool if you're using disposables). Best of all, if the nappy area is sore, soak a flannel in it and lay inside the nappy overnight.
It might sound mad but I did this whenever DD had a nappy rash and the flannel trick worked like a miracle- in the morning the rash would have visibly healed.

Just found out it is discontinued. I always kept some in since my son was born in 1995; however am not bothered as it contains paraffin. I'll just get some more Badger Baby Balm or similar which has 'better' ingredients. There are hundred of small producers online who will also do something similar.
