I'm here, I've got one, and I'm avoiding writing an essay.
Fire away!

Well....mainly when it's set up for baby and toddler, toddler obviously on the front, my dd puts tucks her feet right under herself and into where the baby's feet'll be, i'm sure something is not set up right what do you think?

So you have the main seat flat (for the baby to lie on) and have zipped the second seat onto the front, so it is up above the mainseat.
The toddlers feet should dangle down towards the footwell (the fabric imediately above the front wheel) or reach the footwell when toddler's legs are long enough!
There will be a gap between the bottom of the top seat and the flat main seat which I guess a short toddler might tuck her feet into, but the baby won't end up near the feet as the baby lies further towards the handlebar in my experience.

Remember that the buggy is made to fit children up to the age of 4/5 so a 2 year old will have plenty of growth room.
Does this make any sense?

Yes perfect, however there is a loopy thing on the foot end of the top seat that i assume should attatch somewhere near the footwell to keep it in place? If not then I think I'm fine with that, but just one more question... The harness in the flat seat for newborn seems miles away from me when pushing the buggy, do you use them, or do you use the cocoon?

Can't remember a loopy thing on the top seat - sorry.

Def. did not use the harness on the flat seat for the baby - way too far 'into' the buggy..only really useable when the seat is put upright and becomes the front seat again (and toddler seat is on the back).
It was summer when I had the flat main seat so I put a mamas and papas pram mattress (£10) on it and lay dd on the top, then covered her with a light blanket. She loved the gentle swaying of the seat when she was dozy.
The cocoons only seem to fit most babies for the first 4 months or so, and are very snug (not suitable for summer in my opinion)..but I guess your baby is going to be a spring one so maybe cocoon would be good. (Otherwise I would go for a pram mattress and a travel sleeping bag/grobag type thing)

Ah Ha, Thanks so much,I'm more confident about the whole thing now, had started to feel like i'd made a big mistake in buying it, as it's seen a lot of wear and I still paid £270 on ebay for it, much to dh's horror! Could just imagine his face if I added that it had no instructions and I didn't know what i was doing! He He. Can't thank you enough, be prepared to hear more from me though!

It's a fab buggy - sure you won't regret it.

If it's very worn and you need spare parts you could try Out and About - 01234 772 804. I don't know if they can get hold of stuff for the explorer but they have parts for the newer E3 and they are very helpful.

Cheers, i'll keep it in mind. I can have a rest now as have been up & down all night fiddling with the darn thing, I'm sure I'm just finding things to do to bring on labour!
