I've tried so many different brands from supermarkets own, too Boots(leak and don't fit), Huggies(leak poo, and spill silica-or whatever they fill nappies with-everywhere) etc etc, but always come back to Pampers.

Just wondered what went down well with all you lot!

I did consider washables with my first, and tried some a friend lent to me, but with work etc I found time a struggle.
...It does make me think though when you see how much waste nappies make....

I wash them in the evening (every other day) and put them in the dryer overnight, so no real work involved. I don't think I could manage without a dryer though.

I've got tots bots nappies and MotherEase wraps, plus some Kooshies Basics. I use fleece liners with the TotsBots and disposable ones with the Kooshies.

Never had a leak or spill, except when I've left a bit of nappy peeking out from under the wrap and it's wick-ed through to the clothes.

Pampers

sanchpanch · 03/03/2006 10:36

tesco value at the moment because i am skint, but i try and justify it by saying its only for night time, as dd is dry in the day,

Before i was a single parent, pampers, or asda own brand.......

mawbroon · 03/03/2006 11:12

Washables and Moltex Eco biodegradables when I am lazy.
I read on MN a while back about someone who used disposables AND a wrap. This is my 18wk old ds's current attire as I am expecting an exploding bf poo sometime today as he hasn't done one for a few days.

Tatties · 03/03/2006 11:36

When I used disposables, I thought Tesco did the best nappies, less leaks than pampers. But I am now a convert to cloth and I have to say they are much better, leaks are practically unheard of now!
And the extra washing is simply a joy Grin You can't go wrong with a TotsBots nappy and a Motherease wrap...

schneebly · 03/03/2006 11:38

tesco own brand - super fit. They are very reliable IMO

Lio · 03/03/2006 11:39

Motherease one size.

eidsvold · 04/03/2006 03:08

whilst in the UK - pampers or tesco here in Aus - huggies/baby love and terry squares. Also use ALDI ones for dd1.

me23 · 04/03/2006 08:31

Huggies superflex

Smellen · 04/03/2006 09:38

Have to agree with Tatties. We use reusable terry towels - I have only had about 3 leaks in 14 weeks (and DS could sh*t for Britain). Apart from being environmentally friendly, they only cost £2 each and dry overnight. They are the one bit of my pre-baby naive "earth mother" fantasies that have lived up to expectations.

However, they are heavy when you're out and about and DS has a good poo. I have tried disposables for on a couple of occasions and he gets a rash from them. Not sure if this is because I also used a commercially produced wipes (Johnsons Extra care, Tesco unperfumed, Tushies) on his butt at the same time (we usually use flannel & water at home). If anyone can recommend a really non-allergenic nappy & wipe, I'd be grateful for the advice.

Cheers
