I have horrid, dry chapped lips
I have tried various lip balms, nothing is helping
What do you recommend?

starlover · 02/03/2006 13:48

carmex

nailpolish · 02/03/2006 13:48

vaseline

mancmum · 02/03/2006 13:49

creme de la mer -- well you did say ultimate!

desperatehousewife · 02/03/2006 13:49

elizabeth arden 8 hour cream or blistex

Frenchgirl · 02/03/2006 13:49

Have you tried Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm? Very efficient in my experience, comes in a little pot and you put it on with your fingers, nice honey taste. Best I've found so far and my lips get vrey dry otherwise!

Found it in John Lewis

Twiglett · 02/03/2006 13:50

vasline

blistex relief cream (formerly blisteze) all the rest are just lardy and hopeless with sore/cracked lips. imo.

littlerach · 02/03/2006 13:50

Body shop Vit E lip balm is the only one that works for me.

Vaseline maked them worse.

cupcakes · 02/03/2006 13:50

well, I often read in the glossy mags that \link{http://www.cosmicpharmacy.com/item--La-Mer-The-Lip-Balm--la+mer+lip+balm.html\creme de la mer lip balm} is supposed to be the best thing ever. And at £40 it would need to be.
I like Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour creme.

khiels. works every time.

SuperTramp · 02/03/2006 13:52

I can't cope without lip balm as my lips get so dry. The best I've found is Blistex Daily Conditioner, in a little pot.

sassy · 02/03/2006 13:52

lansinoh - nipple balm for bfing.

Tastes a bit odd, but works!

wilbur · 02/03/2006 13:52

Carmex is fab and also Blisteze when they are really cracked. Vaseline doesn't do it for mine at all, but then my skin is hopelessly dry and flaky and the vaseline just sits on top and can't soak in.

bundle · 02/03/2006 13:54

vaseline etc don't "soak in", but act as a barrier

Flip · 02/03/2006 13:57

You've got to try \link{http://www.lush.co.uk/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_11&products_id=88\this}

All the products are the best at this store and I've well and truly converted.

MrsBadger · 02/03/2006 13:58

another vote for Blisteze (now Blistex Relief Cream).

it's the dog's

Berries · 02/03/2006 13:58

carmex

TheBlonde · 02/03/2006 14:07

I don't like vaseline
I have some lansinoh so may have to try that later Shock

Another vote for Carmex

Also Elizabeth Arden 8 Hour Cream is fab for when they need extra special intensive treat. Also good on dry elbows and knees

fairyjay · 02/03/2006 14:14

Elisabeth Arden - it comes in tinted shades too!

eefs · 02/03/2006 14:43

burt's bees -they do a beeswax lipbalm that is fantastic - healing and moisturising plus made from proper ingredients and not tested on animals. I buy it in bulk.

dinosaur · 02/03/2006 14:44

Blistex, and I do love a chance to agree with Bundle.
