OK, so we have exhausted the Quinny Zapp so what do you think of the Micralite?

Leaning towards a Micralite due to the big rear wheels. I've never seen one in real life, only on the net, and it always looks as though the child would have to be laid back a bit - my DS likes to be almost bolt upright to nosy!

Any thoughts? :)

i have a micralite. i love it love it love it!

big back wheels are fantastic for snowy days / cobbled paths, bumpy bits etc. this wasn't a selling point for me, but they have come in so so handy and i wouldnt be without them now.

baby can sit up very straight in it too. downside is that it doesn't recline. although there are 2 sitting positions ( i wouldn't call the lower one 'reclined', just less upright!)

it folds up really swiftly too.

I see quite a few around here, and they seem quite good to handle but the seat seems quite small. Big-ish toddlers don't look all that comfortable in them.

A bit too gimmicky(sp??) IMO.

And you'd never fit a toddler in that seat.....

poncey. also saw someone pushing one the other day and handlebars were literally rattling..they look v v flimsy

LadyTophamHatt · 02/03/2006 17:04

oh yes bundle...those handles.....wierd weird weird!

Saw toddler(about 2 ish) in one this morning. He/she seemed to be perched against the seat rather than sitting in it iyswim. Actually I was tempted when they first came out but dd was just getting out of buggy phase by then and couldn't persuade dh otherwise !

i had one and i loved it! will def get one again when baby no3 is old enough for a stoller type buggy, i did consider getting the newborn carrycot attachment and getting it as my pram, but the carrycot is small and my babies are usually 10lb+ so wouldn't last as long as a standard carrycot.

i thought that it sat upright enough for a toddler, and had the advantage of being able to slouch abit for those toddlers who like to be less upright. also a great buggy for the summer as well ventilated with mesh.

i have a hefty 18mth old - looks fine in it. in fact when we bought it he was 6 mths old, and our nephew was then 22mths, and i thought our nephew looked better in it than baby...

i guess the handles do look a bit unusual, but they're not at all rattley ime.
