Need a really big, beautiful, flexible storage unit

... for a playroom that'll also be an occasional dining room (well, allow me to at least fantasise about the return of civilised grownup evenings). My ideal would be something really huge in dark wood with concealed, flexible storage - ie loads of movable shelves behind cupboard doors. Some of it could be open though I guess if I could find nice baskets etc to store stuff in.

Anyone come across something like this?

We've got one of those square units divided into squares ie it's 5sqx5sq.I think it's called expedit or something from ikea. We've got baskets for toys in the bottom and I put my books/cd's in the rest.Everyone comments on how nice it is and it was really cheap.Mine is white but I believe it comes in various finishes.

Cheat and use wardrobes?
Or bookcases with doors / baskets etc as appropriate?
Ikea sounds like a good bet here - good value in £/cubic ft and the Pax wardrobe with sliding doors doesn't look too wardrobey. Or good old Billy, of course.

Or a dresser? Antique/secondhand/house clearance places often have much bigger bits of furniture than modern shops, designed for big room/high ceilings etc (am salivating looking through the \link{http://www.lassco.co.uk\Lassco} website)
