A small basket for DD to carry as Little Red Riding Hood (world book day at school). You know, the kind of thing we carried home rock buns in from school cookery lessons (bet they don?t do that any more). Not that big tho as DD is only 4.
Anything small and basket-like would do. Have looked in Woolies, a few cheap shoe shops, bag shop on the market...Anyoen got any great ideas? or seen one (not expensive please, it is only fancy dress, so it?s not likle it?s important lol)
TIA

Charity shop?

Look on the easter egg displays - they might have something on that theme.

Gardening shop? one of those hanging basket things?

WHen we had to get something like this for DD's ballet lessons, we found one in a pound shop (sorry - not very helpful, but worth a try). I'd also been scouring the charity shops, but to no avail.

Clary, are you not even now surfing for tips on basic basket-weaving, and looking to make your own...
Definitely head for the nearest garden centre/farm shop. I am sure I have seen similar there. Mind you, we are almost in Lent, so I expect they have put their Christmas stock out and will tell you the Easter kit is sold out...

Basic issue homewares shop - plastic raffia basket as used for continental breakfast presentation by non-posh hotels - attach ribbons to carry with. Gingham tea towel if very carried away.

Dd had one in her stocking as her pretend kitten's basket. Think it was £1.13 or something equally minimal & strange.

Wow some great ideas here girls. Thanks very much, will check out pound and charity shops.

Lol at basket weaving Marina. I'll have you know I'm making the RRH cloak and apron, and a silver cloak and shield with a lion on for DS1 who's going as Peter Pevensie (hurrah for Narnia!) a slight variation on last yr's King Arthur....
