How old are the other 2? Are they still in seat belts? Will you need another 2 seats, ie 7 seater for family visits/ferrying mates to footie practice or whatever? We've got 3 and are just about to get a new car, so have recently done huge amounts of obsessive research into the perfect car for family with 3 little ones.
For now, after huge amounts of research, for us the peugeot 807 is the perfect car.
Has 3 full seats in middle & seat belt fastening easy. (just used landrover discovery, also 3 full seats in middle but bloody difficult to fasten the seat belts)
then you have ENORMOUS boot, plus can have the 2 spare seats for friends/ grannies, which we are using more & more now.
Having one of these mpv's - the full size ones - the extra hieght is fantasctic, much easier for getting little ones in & out. & the electronic slidey doors are just brilliant. I never want to go back to normal doors.
Prob with Chrysler when you've got 3 kids is that 1 child will always have to be on their own, as it's only 2 seats in middle & "3" seats in back (they are not full size seats - you will not get 3 car seats back there. So you will never have the huge boot space, as there will always be 1 kid back there. A real let down in the design. Ok if you've only got 2 kids, but a pain with 3.
Mazda have just brought out an x5 which looks interesting but a bit small for us. Much better than eg zafira
Prob with the bmw x5 & all these similar (volvo xc90 etc) is that 3rd row only accessible from middle row, so a pain if the kids in the middle row are still using car seats. Sure dh will want on of those next. Would be ok once the kids don't need car seats anymore. But no slidey doors
