"Ethical/sustainable" baby furniture?

We are looking for baby furniture, but are not having much luck sourcing it in a sustainable way.

We are trying to buy second hand, but this is proving quite hard as we are in the Lakes so not very densely populated . Cot-wise we should be fine, but it is the changing unit that is a bit of a pain. This needs to have specific requirements (little space, so a small unit is required and we would like drawers), which we cannot seem to find.

Looking at new stuff we were pretty astonished to find hardly any of the mainstream brands seem to use FSC wood. One company has an eco-line, but their only credential seems to be that the wood is FSC certified. /rant mode on How on earth is it possible that on big margin goods with sentimental values (future for babies etc.) so little is made of this?!? /rant mode off

Sorry, for the rant but I was very annoyed at this. Anyway, my question is whether there are companies that are fairly sustainable. We don't particularly like the Stokke changing unit (which does seem ethical), but know very little other brands that make changing units/tables/dressers in a more sustainable way. Does anyone of you know brands that have good environment/ethical policies?

They're expensive but Boori has a PEFC certification as an alternative to FSC. They do a chest of drawers with a changer top as well as an open sided changer on wheels. See here
