non violent interesting pc games for 7 year old dd?

We have been of the lentilish, "go and play in the garden dear" school of parenting up until now, but it's clear that my dd1 is widly into computer games, and we figured, why not? But we don't want her to do pink barbie ones or mindless killing ones. Are there any exciting
wildlife-ish, strategy, eco-warrior or just very imaginative and beautiful non fighting oriented games, or do I need to dream on? She is going to be 7. Please help.

Ecco the Dolphin is one that springs to mind - not sure though whether you can by for PC

Something like this?

Oscar the Balloonist sounds ideal for your dd sibdoms. My kids love it and we're very lentilish on the whole.

This is the one we have but I've just noticed there are loads more in the series so will have to investigate.

I know it it is barbie, but barbie horse adventures is great (especially if she likes ponies). Dd1 (6) loves it and she normally hates barbie.

this site is good for recommendations

The Zoombinies are very very good too (a bit too old for dd1)

zoombinies logical journey is supposed to be excellent

Arthur's games - DD has thinking games and reading games.

Agree with Enid on the Barbie Horse Adventures one.

Also DD has Junior Monopoly, Lego Island (and about 6 Barbie ones!).

Had to find this thread again just to rave about I-Spy. I bought I-Spy Spooky Mansion in a sale for £2.50 but its really good & fits the non-violent, thinking type of game.
Its like ISPy off the telly where you have to find items hidden in pictures.
DS is 5 & needed a tiny bit of help but we both thought it was great !
