I got a load of art stuff from ELC last week to occupy ds over half term as it was 20% off. Mainly glue and packets of stick on things and some more paints. I'm always really reluctant to get the paints out with him but he's so keen on it at the moment that I was feeling v mean mummy. I think since he's been in Y1 they have much less time for that kind of stuff in class (where I prefer him to do it!).

I don't mind so much them actually doing it, it's just the time it takes to get everything out, cover the table, put aprons on and then all the wet pictures draped round the house after the full ten minutes they have spent doing it. And then the clearing up.
