Those net curtains that are curtains IYKWIM, in fact I think they are like a special shaped scarf that you wrap around the pole. I want white ones with a touch of lilac in, be it flowers or spirals, or just plain lilac ones, I want them for out toilet, it is a very small room so I dont want to loose any light by having proper curtains.

You are sort of right, cm, although voila is more like vwah-la than vwolla - sorry!

And voile is vwahl - rather than vwarl as I said before (and got ignored, sigh)

But it looks like voile is one of those words which is used with an English pronunciation...

sheers

What a funny thread - I say voile like olive oil - which is probably wrong but my french accent is pretty crap!

bubblerock · 10/02/2006 23:52

ps... we have voile in the b&b - don't do nets

chipmonkey · 10/02/2006 23:52

JanH, I'm Irish, you have to take my accent into account!!
JoolsToo, that actually makes it all less complicated, a bit like frothy coffee instead of cappuccino!

JanH · 10/02/2006 23:56

You're excused in that case, cm
