Well believe it or not I've made it to my 3rd child without owning a cosytoes for a pushchair. Any views on what the nicest cosiest ones are? And can I buy them online? And I have a Jane pushchair - does anyone know if they do them and if so are they nice? Not that I particularly care about being co-ordinated...

ta!

We have a lovely one made by Kipling. It is black so goes with most things, and is very very cosy looking.

PPH I have one that came with my Mclaren Techno buggy which is black fleece and v snug. Other one came with the 3 wheeler and looks like sheepskin but isn't. It's ok but is really for toes, only comes up to dd's knees! I should say get one that comes up higher, the Mclaren one is good and you can just chuck it in the washing machine and it dries in no time.

Chariots do a fab fleecy, waterproof one but it's pricey. Looks super warm though. I can see me fighting DS to get into the buggy!

Most of the people I know with Jane pushchairs have ones by buggysnuggle so I don't know if they do their own.

mothercare do a basic range to fit most buggys - most of them are machine washable and pretty cheap to

just a question - why don't people just use a blanket to cover up the little ones? Far cheaper...

I saw such a gorgeous one at a craft fair recently, a kind of plaid wool outer and a sheepskin inner. Bliss. Not very helpful, sorry. I just recall wanting one for myself.

hana, cos when they get to a kicking/throwing blankets off stage, u can guarentee the blanket will end in in the only puddle on the pavement. dd2 has just started doing this no matter how much i tuck a blanket around her.

Jane do a footmuff if thats the same thing.. I just got one from shop called 'Young Ones', ordered it over the phone and it arrived within 3 days which was excellent cos Jane stuff usually takes ages but this place stocks them. Think is wa 45 quid and looks dead smart on the powertrack and seems to be warm and cosy!. phone them up to order...www.youngones.biz/index.asp

I bought a black one from mothercare, and I must say it's a pian in the arse. I find it really hard to strap ds in to his buggy and it won't sit properly in the seat of his buggy. It keeps slipping down the shoulder straps IYKWIM. Is this a common problem or have I bought a crap one?

Northerner, I do think it's a common problem especially with a universal one. Similarly raincovers. The brand specific ones tend to be made to fit their seat shape and strap positions but having said that our Maclaren one was always a poor fit and a fumble. Also it makes it more of a pain to fold the buggy down and I'm sure that is why our clip went.

CnR, would love a Kipling one to go with pram bag I bought following recommendation on MN. Just Googles Kipling, found a site that sells Kipling but no cosy toes or not called that. Can you remember where you got yours? Thanks

Davros - I looked on the Kipling site earlier and couldn't find it. We actually bought ours whiullst on holiday in Bruge and Brussels, along with our pushchair. We got it from a shop called Premaman. I have no idea if they do mail order or anything though, sorry.

Debenehams usually sell Kipling, as do John Lewis - don't know about the baby range though.

We also have the baby bag - don't know if I recommended it or not here - we really find it great, and as it is black and non-mumsy DH carries it for us.

Our cosytoes is in car downstairs so can't go and look at label Will try and remember to do so tomorrow though. Is it part of the Super Nanny range?
