for myself, no. Looks more like something for a teenager imho.

Auntymandy · 05/02/2006 07:42

I thought 'what a waste of money'
Thought I had lost my romantic side.
I would buy a packet of love hearts though!!

Not really - I wouldn't want to wear it. And DH definitely wouldn't.

PiccadillyCircus · 05/02/2006 07:45

AM - I'm glad you don;t like it either - I was worried you were going to say that you'd just bought one for someone

Carlk · 05/02/2006 07:47

I wonder if you could use it in the trolley at the supermarket might be the same size as a pound coin

PiccadillyCircus · 05/02/2006 07:49

There are things you can buy for using in trolleys - can't remember where I saw them but they only cost a pound (and are for some charity)

Kelly1978 · 05/02/2006 07:50

lol @ carlk

apparently you can buy keys for them now anyway. don't know what the point in that is.

Kelly1978 · 05/02/2006 07:50

sains sell them.

Auntymandy · 05/02/2006 07:59

I have a trolley token. Got it from Wheatfields which is part of the Sue ryder care.Morrisons do them too!

Can you imagine a silver love heart.
have you seen those silver rolo's?

OP posts:
Carlk · 05/02/2006 08:02

Aha now a silver rolo creates its own dilemma

Auntymandy · 05/02/2006 08:03

I got a trolley token from one of the high st charidee shops and it fits on my keyring v.handy and cant be spent

Auntymandy · 05/02/2006 08:07

plus you always have one

OP posts:
Kelly1978 · 05/02/2006 08:20

yes, but the whole point was so that trolleys can't be stolen. then they sell the keys so that anyone can take them again! We used to have some pikey neighbours years ago who would push the trolley all the way home and then leave it in the front garden for weeks. They stopped whent hey had to pay a quid for it!

Auntymandy · 05/02/2006 08:26

Do you think they would buy a key then?

OP posts:
Kelly1978 · 05/02/2006 08:30

i don't know. See before they would have had to pay £1 for each trolley they wanted to nick - so they used an old buggy instead. But a one off charge for as many trolleys as they wanted might have been tempting!

Auntymandy · 05/02/2006 08:41

oh, does the trolley not keep the key, like it does the token?

OP posts:
Kelly1978 · 06/02/2006 09:11

the ones we used to use in the supermarket where I had a sat job didn't. THat is a good point tho, maybe these ones stay in the trolley.
