Oh hadn't thought of ebay. Do you think 9 inches will be big enough for a birthday cake to serve about 15?

Not sure to be honest. Ebay do have a bigger one, but it costs more too.

I always hire number cake tins from the cookery shop - if you have one nearby then that might be an option for you too. It saves cluttering up the kitchen cupboards given you need new ones each year

There are disposable number moulds you can buy, made of stiff card with a silicone coating. You assemble them (takes about 5 mins), bake your cake and then throw away. Can't remember brand name but a specialist cookshop would have them , or try googling. I think they're maybe £3 or £4.

The cookshop at Denby Potteries in Derbyshire, must be online somewhere as well, they do the lot.
