Please!!!!

I hardly wear make-up - not to work anyway, but want to get rid of baggy eyes & deep "laughter" creases in forehead.

I use Olay moisturiser - anyone tried the expensive stuff? Or any brand of eye-cream, wrinkle reducer which has made a difference for

Well, I think Touche Eclat is excellent, as is Chanel's Vitalumiere foundation, and there's a benefit wrinkle stuff that's great, can't remember what it's called though. Dr Feelgood maybe? But really, Botox is prob what you're looking for! I am going to get around to it sometime soonish, well, this year anyway.

codnotmud · 29/01/2006 20:30

ooh ooh the vtalimiere thread

Kayleigh · 29/01/2006 20:31

I use the Olay Regenerist cream. Find it good for a moderately priced cream

Milliways · 29/01/2006 20:31

Ooooh noooh! No needles!

My skin is actually quite good, but noticing the lines as 40th B/D approaches!

Is touche eclat expensive?

OP posts:
WideWebWitch · 29/01/2006 20:33

£21 and worth every penny imho.

WideWebWitch · 29/01/2006 20:33

That's Touche Eclat. Chanel foundation is £15, ditto. Cod has bumped the thread about it.

hornbag · 29/01/2006 20:33

Someone on here recently recommended vaseline around your eyes at night to fill out wrinkles/creases by hydrating the skin. Just started trying it myself and not sure, but it might be making a bit of a difference???

Kayleigh · 29/01/2006 20:34

Milliways, it's worth every penny ! I always buy it from here . Think it's about the cheapest place you can buy it.

For a $38 tube of concealer, you wouldn't expect the brush to get coated with bacteria and mildew after only a month or two. However, I have gone through two tubes and this happened to both tubes. I wash the brushes with soap and water, but once the brush starts stinking, the smell will never go away. Two days ago, I put the Touche Eclat under my eyes, ignoring the faint smell, and two hours later, I got a horrible, itchy, violet rash under my eyes. Overnight, my undereye area swelled like mad, and I looked like I'd been punched in the face. My boyfriend was trying to persuade me to go to the doctor because I looked and felt so horrible. I have NEVER had an allergic reaction to any product before in my life! It is such a shame that a product this expensive attracts bacteria so easily. It is pretty inconvenient to have to wipe down the brush after each usage. So,although I love the concealing action of this product, I will never buy it again."

codnotmud · 29/01/2006 20:39

and this one

"sigh I hate hearing people raving about this and how great it makes them look... so unfair - I was horribly allergic and came out all read and scaley round my eyes "

Kayleigh · 29/01/2006 20:40

WWW, £16 and free delivery. Thoroughly recommend them - they keep me in Touche Eclat and Lancome Juicy Tubes

Milliways · 29/01/2006 20:44

I was reading an article in sainsburys mag about all these things today - that's what got me wondering what you lot all use before I open my purse!

How old are you all????

Esp wickedwaterwitch...I am pg but baby out in a week or so and seriously thinking of botox....

Ashamed but desperate!

Gloworm · 29/01/2006 21:02

100% pure aloe vera gel, works on wrinkles/bags under eyes/tired, hangover eyes.
it really really really works!
and is very cheap, even for a decent brand like optima health (who specialise in aloe stuff)
noticeable results within a few days, in fact under eye area looks better within a few minutes!

expatinscotland · 29/01/2006 21:03

i'm 35 next month. would have botox in a second if i could afford it.

WideWebWitch · 29/01/2006 21:05

I am 39, knackered and determined to hit 40 in October looking better than I look now. My plan is
Lose weight (have been teetotal Jan except for last night and tonight and next Tues)
Get teeth bleached
Botox
Fashion re vamp at John Lewis or somewhere once I am a smaller size
And maybe go back to my natural brunette (have been a dyed blonde for 6 years) in a reverse mid life crisis hair moment
