another buggy thread...

I know we've had them before, but I'm hoping for new responses!!

I'm looking for a lightweight buggy, to take on holiday, that is very easy to fold (i'll be alone with 2 children), the baby is now 14 months old, but I would still like a reclining seat for her...

I really like the maclaren ones, but have to say the brakes are horrendous, and would hope to find something better??

any ideas anyone?

my brakes on the maclaren ryder are so much better than the old kick to the side ones on the triumph. i'd say a truipmh or mothercare aulto.

how about a cosatto lunar?

i have one to flog! lol

Personally I find the Graco ones fab for holidays. We used ours for many holidays and it survived being thrown about through baggage handling etc. Its fab as the shopping basket is huge enough to thow everything in for the beach etc, seat fully reclines and quite comfy, and at a push, when DD (3 years old) gets a bit tired to walk and DS (14mths) is in the pushchair, DD can stand on the shopping basket.

BTW, we bought a new buggy for our last holiday to Cyprus over Christmas, a Chicco, same as the Maclaren, and it broke somewhere between giving it to the guy as we got on the plane and retreiving it from baggage reclaim.

Like this one, but ours wasn't a 3-wheeler. Bargain tho at £40!

This one looks very similar too.

thanks for the suggestions, I'd really prefer an umbrella style buggy, I've had the Aria and hated it, I'll have a look at the Cosatto though. Is it very lightweight?

thanks

m&p pulse has better brakes than the cheaper maclarens, and i have taken mine on an aerolpane and it survived. also i think on kiddicare.com there is a cossatto one called something like 'milly' that is half price that lots of people on mn have recommended.

I have a cmbi dash which is fab for holidays as folds smaller than any other I have seen, is light and easy to carry if you need to as has a strap. Also comes with a bag for travelling. It has a padded seat which looks comfier than most lightweights I have seen. Sa=eat partially reclines but that should be fine given the age of your lo. My DS (9 months at the time) slept in it very happily every evening when we went out to eat in Spain. Bought mine on ebay nut mothercare have just started stocking them:

i have a Quinny Zapp, admitidly it doesnt recline, but my daughter sleeps in it ok. it is the best little buggy ive had. it folds down to a tiny size and comes with a carry bag, which makes it perfect for hols.
i bought mine on ebay, definately worth a look.
