Go to a craft shop - they have all sorts of storage thingies for small fiddly thingies

I've secured mine to a pinboard with drawing pins. Dead classy me.

You know the little suction pads with hooks... I stick them inside my wardrobe...
vola... all my necklaces and bracelets hanging up neatly... [smug]

don't know what to do with my tiara though...

puff · 17/01/2006 19:43

ooh good idea rummum

flutterbee · 17/01/2006 19:47

I bought my stepmum a long leather wallet type thing for Christmas to keep all her necklaces in, it has clips/hooks at either end to hold the necklaces in place and then folds over on itself and clips shut, I think the one I got her held about 20 necklaces if fine chains and 10 if all with bulky pendants on.

It really is fab as she is not the type of person who wants all her jewellry on show so she just pops it away in the top draw of her dresser as it just lies flat.

flutterbee · 17/01/2006 19:48

sorry meant to say leather on the outside and velvety type material on the inside.

Smurfgirl · 17/01/2006 20:21

I keep my costume jewellery in colourful boxes from Ikea, the necklaces don't seem to tangle up...

JackieNo · 17/01/2006 20:33

This from the Holding Company (5 drawer jewellery chest at the bottom of the page) is a bit pricey, and not very lovely to look at but might do the trick?

Not leather, but how about this? . A bit cheaper - £20. Or is it a bit too obviously for stationery?

CountessDracula · 18/01/2006 10:01

Cod these are fun

CountessDracula · 18/01/2006 10:04

this is inoffensive

MrsBadger · 18/01/2006 12:25

I have hook things in wardrobe too - there's a pic in one of the What Not to Wear books of them all arranged by colour so easy to match to outfits.

I had this problem, also neckleces were forever getting tangled. I solved it with an inexpensive chrome mug tree from Sainsbury's (£2.95). It looks good,I can see all my necklaces and bracelets and they are tangle free. Perfect!

flutterbee · 18/01/2006 17:47

Sorry Cod I don't have a link for the leather wrap I mentioned, I bought it in a little shop in the lanes in Brighton. It was about £35 so not too expensive.
