beyblades very popular at the moment, Both my boys (7 soon and 10) love them at the moment. Depending on how much you spend, the 'must have' at present is a remote control thingy about £30.

agree with both those - or the walky talky head sets from argos janh recommended?

bey blades require a brother really as opponent

Lillibet - got your r/c yet?

Top Trump cards. My nephews who range from 8-10 are obsessed. There are lots of different sets, dinosaur, sharks, beano, hulk etc. The cards have loads of facts on them and you choose a category to try and trump your opponent, to win as many cards as poss. They cost about 3 pounds, light, small, easy to post.HTH.

having brothers isnt really a problem...he is one of five!!!
top trumps and bey blades sound cool
just to check...are bey blades those spinning top mini type things?"!?!?!?!?!

Have a 9 year old newphew abroad too with a 6 year old brother......could they play this top trumps thing together? or is a friends thing they do and trade cards?

batey · 13/11/2003 19:08

It is certainly something they can play tigether. You get all the cards back at the end of the game like normal playing cards. It's not a trade/exchange thing like Pokemon. My nephews and their friends play alot together. It's also an easy thing to take out for entertainment if you waitng for food in a restaurant etc. We used them for many a pub lunch on holiday.
