dd2 is now 32lb. i have got a GRACO citisport plus pushchair. unfortunat;y, she is now getting too big for it and its getting impossible to steer. i'm looking for another small-ish buggy to go in the car (small austin metro) but has to be able to withstand dd2 weight (most buggies have a weight restriction) plus myabe a buggy board on the back for dd1. can anyone recommend anything?

Our cheap Mothercare stroller copes with 35lb DS2 and, on occasions, 45lb DS1 too. It was about £40 and is the simple lay back stroller - 2 positions only, no accessories with it but you can but a shopping net and rain cover etc.

32lb doesn't seem particularly big for a stroller to handle. I know your DD2 is big for her age but she is only young. Our DS is coming up 3 and has been over 30lb for ages and our macclaren daytripper copes fine. OK is badly stained and looks awful but thats not what you are asking about. The daytripper seemed to be about the cheapest stroller to come with hood, raincover and shopping basket. It went in my Ka and now goes in my Fiesta even better.

well i tested out the huge range in mothercare (all of 5 lol) and got a maclaren triumph. it is easy to steer, small and looks quite funky. i was justy gonna get a basic stroller, but they dont come with raincovers etc, so once i'd paid for those i figured i'd better off getting the maclaren. dd2 also managed to get a teddy bear as she grabbed one as soon as we got there and wouldnt let go of it. cheeky little madam.
