expecting baby no2 7 years after baby no1, i had an old secondhand m&p travel system thing before, but it was heavy and cumbersome, didn't have swivel wheels, which i know i definitely want this time, and we sold it anyway. i don't even know really what is on the market these days and don't recognise half the brands available.
definitely want something that is suitable from birth ie can lay flat, but not that bothered about a carrycot/pram. can anyone recommend anything?

OOOh where to start Grin lets start with a few basics....

Budget?
Do you drive / if so what car?
If not do you catch buses/trains?

are you particularly tall/small?

Whens baby due?

thanks nicplus!
budget - don't really know what is reasonable/to expect to pay. don't want it to be extortionate so doesn't have to be top of the range.
i do drive - we have a focus - but i do use the bus quite often as well and walk to lots of places if i can.
i am 5ft 9 and dh is 5ft 11
baby due july so bags of time, hence some research now

i had a mamas and papas traditional pram last time and same issues as you! i am due again in January and planning on getting a mamas and papas zoom with carrycot as it will take my old car seat, or the mamas and papas sola without carrycot as I really live the colour schemes. Both are a decent price, suitable from birth and sturdy but easy to navigate.

Would def agree with scarlettsmummy re the sola its a lovely lightweight pram, parent/rear facing, is suitable from birth although you have the option of carycot if wanted, folds smallish and can be a travel sytem ( which is a godend for nippin in place ).

Maybe consider
Babystyle oyster, although you do have to have the crycot as the seat is from 4 months approx.

Mothecare spin - is suitable from birth and the seat turns into a carrycot so no need for seperates, also can add carseat!

I have had lots of different prams/pushchairs for my 2 lol, have loved a couple and hated quitd a lot for different reasons.

Am sure i will think of some more Xmas Grin

Brocolli are you me? I just found out yesterday that 7 years after dc1 I am having another, totally haven't a clue anymore and got rid of everything years ago as I assumed #2 was never to be. I gave spent tday researching things I know I will need and trying to remind myself of the things I really won't. I was looking at the Stokke xplory as I fancied this before but finances wouldn't stretch then but have decided it is too much of a faff to get in the boot and it doesn't seem that neat once it is folded. I am currently thinking the oyster looks good. I have a big boot but might need to go on buses to get DS to his new school as traffic and parking are a nightmare there. I like to get out for a walk around town with baby as they sleep better and it helps my mood as my DH works away for weeks at a time. Budget isn't too much of an issue this time round, i just want good value and not needing to buy more than one buggy as this will be the last. I also want a carseat for it that can have a base in the car as I found that a boon before. My last 3in1 was a Graco cheapy and it was good but jst before these fancy lightweight ones really started coming out and we got rid of it ages ago. But not sure what I am missing, it is a complcated task and I don't want to make an expensive mistake. I am not going to bother with a moses basket though as DS was in his 8 weeks and would have been less if DH had been home to get the cot put together. I don't have a clue of dates yet though, think I will be about 8 weeks, i rather assumed i was menopausal and have lost track of things. Definitely not had a period since Xmas though. How stupid do I feel?
