Does anybody know of a camera tough enough for a 6 year old.

My ds had one from ELC last year and it disintegrated within a month.

Thank you

Just get a cheap 35mm one.

If you hunt around you can usually find these for under a £5. May not be super tough, but since it would be a proper camera, you may find your ds would be more careful wih it. Plus at that price it doesn't really matter too much!

I think Letterbox have one in their catalogue.

Have to say I don't think any of the kids ones are made to last. We bought DS a cheap digital one. I cost £50 but you can get them for a lot less now. Might sound a lot but think of the cost of films and developing.

DS (age 5) took over 300 pitcures in the week following his birthday. We could play then back through the TV and then just print out the ones he really wanted.

The camera is still going strong and works really well. We got our from Internet cameras direct but have a shop around

Don't get the one from M&S - £12 last year. Of the 3 films that have been used in it, not one has produced any photos, difficult to load the film, wind it on etc. Not nice to explain to a 6 year old that all her holiday snaps haven't come out!

We gave dd a couple of single-use cameras, to begin with, and have now bought her a simple 35mm from Boots for gbp29, for Xmas.

I bought a Polaroid Joycam for my son last year. the pictures are instant which is great and it is so easy to use but probably a bit bulky.

Also I received an email from Thegadgetstore.com about a mini digital camera. They're offering me 28% off so I can buy it for £17.95.

Spec:
High Quality: store up to 20 photos (352 x 288 resolution)

Low Quality: store up to 80 photos (176 x 144 resolution)

CMOS sensor: 100k Pixels

Don't know much about digicams but doesn't look like I can go wrong for dd.

A flyer for superdrug came through our letterbox yesterday and they had a small digital camera for £19.95!
