Have been using Clarins for past 2 years, really suits my skin, don;t want to stop using but simply cannot afford atm.

Used to use Boots hypoallergenic but moisturiser in particular is not enough for my skin anymore.

Recommendations anyone?

Sorry forgot to say must be hypoallergenic can't use things like L'oreal, and must be for extremely dry skin.

liz earle isnt cheap though

ediemay · 09/01/2006 15:12

I've been using Neal's Yard stuff for 2 years now and I love it. The frankincense moisturiser is the best I've ever used. It isn't cheap but it's about half the price of Clarins and they do mail order. The website is www.nealsyardremedies.com

Carameli · 09/01/2006 15:19

I love liz earle stuff.

Also recently I have been using this
boot time delay range

and this, which recently got an amazing review in Elle.

olay complete radiance

(this is the fluid but I use the cream as I have really dry skin.)

hunkermunker · 09/01/2006 15:25

I like Clarins too, but I also like No 7. You might get a bargain in the sales so you can try some bits or it's on three for two atm.

Carameli · 09/01/2006 15:35

just forgot to back up ediemay with the Neals Yard frankincense moisturiser. Is also wonderful, no reason why I stopped using it, just fancied a change and got hooked into Liz earle...

The Superdrug Natural High range is also good.

FrayedKnot · 09/01/2006 17:48

Thanks for all these suggestions, will peruse later, as just trying to sort out culinary nightmare scenario.

Have heard loads of good things about Liz Earle but assumed it was expensive too.

Never thought of trying on-line though.

Also have some Boots points I think.

I rate the nivea q 10 range
although my mum got an eve lom set for xmas and I@m seriously tempted as it is really superb stuff
Effing expensive though!

katierocket · 09/01/2006 18:15

Liz Earle is brilliant.

tamum · 09/01/2006 18:23

The Liz Earle website is here. It's not ultra cheap, but it isn't too bad, and the moisturisers are lovely.

Skribble · 10/01/2006 00:16

Don't suppose you have a Watt Brothers store near by they have Clarins and other top brands cheap.

BudaBabe · 10/01/2006 06:34

The Skin Wisdom range from Tesco is good. They do a cleanser very like the Eve Lom one. And a lovely tinted moisuriser that I use over my usual one (which varies) - it gives skin a lovely sheen.

I remember reading that you should spend most on your moisturiser but can use cheaper cleansers etc.
