Does anyone have one of these? What's it like, do you love it? What's it like to drive and park? What about icy weather? Are they reliable?

Thinking about getting a 2009 model (because they have those gorgeous round headlights - yeah I know, totally frivolous reason)

Thanks

I'm going to ignore the ridiculous headlight comment. Wink

Fabulous car, fantastic inside, incredibly comfortable and saved DH's life in an incident on the motorway. In a less robust car, it would have ended in tears.

Are you used to driving a large car? Fuel economy is only any good on motorway. Is somewhat boat like, very long and I am not keen on parking it in squeezed spaces. Rear wheel drive, not as good in the snow as FWD or 4WD, obvs.

All Mercedes are reliable, silly question. Wink

So glad your DH's life was saved! Thanks for the advice & info. I'm currently driving a Landrover defender 110 long wheel base so am used to a big car. Didn't realise the Mercedes CLK was long though as it's a coupe? Will definitely go and arrange a test drive. What's the view out of the rear window like?

It's massive for a coupe. Loads of legroom in front and back. Doors are quite long and can be a bit difficult opening in cramped car parks sometimes.

Definitely requires confidence and a prayer if you're trying to get in a small space. Perhaps invest in some cheap wheels to use for a bit until you get used to not kerbing them. Wink

Someone will be along in a minute to declare that they have never kerbed their wheels and I'm just useless at parking. Grin

Love "confidence and a prayer"! Cheap wheels is good advice - I'm not bad at parking but still have been known to 'overlook exactly where the kerb is'. Grin

Good news about legroom in the back - DS is a rugby player and predicted to reach at least 6"1' Smile

oooh getting excited about this car now Grin
