I have a website with ic24. They have recently moved their service to a different platform (?) and its now impossible to update it. The help service isn't very helpful - didn't even bother to answer for a week. So I'm interested in alternatives. Does anyone have a website that:

doesn't cost much

is easy to update as I'm not much good at file transfers

doesn't have to have lots of adds from the provider?

This isn't a massive site - it has about 20 pages but not many pictures.

Is it a personal page or are you trying to sell something through it?

Selling something through a website always makes it more difficult to find a good host, but if its personal, you could try Plusnet, not sure if they are free, we used to use them, but now we use a US based one, Pair Networks, and touch wood they have been very good.

You can have a look at mine and see what the service is like, www.raspberry.co.uk

Hope this has been of some help!

It provides information and support for parents whose children have had dental problems. It's also had a page about ear infections (they are related) but that's the one that's gone haywire. Don't exactly sell from it. Parents have been able to join a sort of group buying arrangement. I'll probably stop doing that soon - except for those who've already taken part (don't worry Robinw). That's why I don't want to have adds on the site - tried one with freserve and they were putting gambling adds on it! I'll take a look at your site - do you use an ftp (which one) or dos?
